Mishley 31:27. Tzofiah Halichos Beysah. She supervises the ways of her household...
Rashi says that the Eyshis Chayil pays attention to all the needs of her household and to how they should act with truth and with modesty.
A woman's role in the home is critical for the spiritual success of her family - and of Klal Yisroel. Jewish women must monitor and
support the Emunah of the entire family. It is a tremendous job. The Eyshis Chayil of the house must have a strong
Emunah foundation if her family is going to have a strong Emunah also.
The problem is that many earnest women do not have an accurate understanding of the essentials of Emunah and
they often cannot deal their own Emunah challenges. For many women, Emunah means saying, "I must have Emunah".
But that is not nearly enough. How can someone effectively monitor the Emunah of her family if she
doesn't know the basics of Emunah herself?
Beyond this many women do not have the practical knowledge, tools, strategies and support they need to meet their
responsibilities as Emunah guardians and educators.
The Tzofiah Project creates, publishes and distributes an array of materials designed to teach the basics of Emunah to
women and to teach them how to bring these lessons into practice.
Examples include Emunah seforim and curricula for daily group study programs, lecture series and email newsletters
all developed especially to teach women Emunah.
These materials are designed to be useful for all Jewish women and there will also be special materials for singles and single mothers.
